Welcome to the Slow Journal

Welcome to the Slow Journal, the blog from the team at Delayed Gratification. There may be something oxymoronic about the champions of taking time launching a fast media ‘channel’, but here we hope to create a corner of the internet that is forever slow.

As often as we are able we will be sharing our favourite examples of Slow Journalism from around the world, giving you insights into the making of Delayed Gratification, returning to stories from our archives and highlighting some of the speed bumps created by modern news’s quest to be ever quicker. We may be unfashionably late to the blogging party, but just as we are proud to be last to breaking news, we are happy to be the last to enter the blogosphere. To kick things off we’ve uploaded our entire back catalogue of infographics: that’s three and a half years’ worth of timelines, charts, silly illos and incredible stats. Enjoy.
