DG Christmas special: Stack’s cover competition

‘What would the Stack magazines look like if they made Christmas special issues’? Stack’s Steve Watson wanted to find out, so he asked people to send in their black and white designs for fictitious Christmas issues of independent magazines.

We’re really flattered to see a few designs for a Delayed Gratification Christmas cover on this Pinterest board which features all the entries. And we’re especially impressed by Terry Hearnshaw’s design (above) that made it to second place in the competition.

We hope the pain of just losing out on Stack’s prize money is soothed ever so slightly by the free year’s subscription we’re sending Terry to say thanks for the awesome design.

For more indie mag Christmas cover designs, check Stack’s top 10 here, or browse all entries here.
