DG #23: On the cover
Our new issue has been out for a couple of weeks now and we’re more than a little bit pleased with its cover. Dishonest was created by Scott Albrecht, a Brooklyn-based artist who works across collage, sculpture, hand-drawn typography, zines, street art and even furniture.
Dishonest is part of a series in which each work represents a personality trait or characteristic, using the hand as a canvas. “We’re in a time of scary defining moments,” he told us. “Continued racial prejudice, Brexit, North Korean aggression, a potential Trump election. And at the centre of these things are people dealing with those situations. Finding a way to cope or understand has always inspired me.”
For more from Scott Albrecht on his art, check out our new issue. It’s available in our shop, and if you subscribe now with promo code ‘SOCIAL20’ we’ll send you it for free.
