DG #17: on the cover
We are very pleased to share the cover for our upcoming issue #17, which will be out in in a week’s time.
‘Red Portrait With Dimensional Movement’ was created by artist Adam Neate and is one of our favourite covers to date. “A photo of a painting on the internet is the equivalent of someone showing you their holiday snaps,” he told us. “Online we can scroll through hundreds of images a minute; we are becoming desensitised to such over-stimulus.”
We hope Neate will forgive us for posting this photo of his beautiful painting online.
Inside the issue, we revisit the extraordinary story of the 43 missing Mexican students, we discuss what all-out cyber war might look like, and we ask whether FBI chief James Comey was right when he quoted from the song ‘Everyone’s a little bit racist’.
