Christmas FAQs

To learn more about Delayed Gratification and how our subscriptions work, see our FAQs here, or get in touch.

When will my gift subscription start?
If you sign up for a gift subscription now, your recipient will receive their first issue in March 2019. This is because we are a quarterly title that publishes in March, June, September and December.

Can I give my recipient something sooner?
You can indeed. Either add a copy of the current issue to your order, or print off a gift certificate instead – we’ll send you a link to it in your confirmation email.

Where will you send the copy of the current issue?
You can choose to add a copy of the current issue to your order, to be delivered to either your billing address, or to the shipping address. The regular subscription will be sent to the shipping address, so this should be the address of your recipient.

Can I change the shipping address?
If you add a copy of the current issue to your order, that will be sent straight away to whichever address you specify. But you can change the shipping address for all subsequent deliveries by updating your details in the customer portal or by emailing us with instructions for the change.

How many copies will they get?
With an annual subscription to DG, your gift recipient will receive 4 issues of the magazine (unless you sign up for a two year subscription, in which case they’ll get 8!)

Can I make changes to their subscription, or cancel it?
You can cancel your subscription at any time – just send an email to vicky@slow-journalism.com, and we’ll take care of that for you right away. You can use our customer portal to update your recipient’s address or your payment details at any time – we’ll send you a link to the customer portal when you sign up – or you can email us and we’ll help you make any changes you need.

Do you sell other Christmas gifts for the DG fan?
