Downton Abbey: the disapprov-ographic

As the fifth series of Downton Abbey is about to begin, we thought we’d share this infographic tribute from our archive in which we plotted the pet peeves of Carson the butler and Lady Violet in series 1-3.

Among the objects of their disapproval: swivel chairs, Americans, electric chandeliers, unusual nutcrackers  and footmen who ask for cheese.

Taken from issue eight of Delayed Gratification (Jul-Sep 2012), available for purchase at the DG Shop.
